G-SHOCK Unveils Inaugural Watch Collaboration With Bamford London
A nod to its original 1983 design.
G-SHOCK has unveiled its inaugural collaboration with Bamford London, a stylish nod to the former’s original watch in the form of a limited-edition G-SHOCK 5610.
Celebrating G-SHOCK’s heritage, the watch has been designed around the rectangular case shape originally released in 1983, while the rest of the piece comprises of more modern day elements.
A Multi-Band 6 Radio Control around the centre of the watch ensures accurate timekeeping and solar power for added reliability; while its slim, shock and scratch resistant outer makes for a functional, lightweight piece too. Coming in an embellished case that matches the watch’s dial and hands, the watch arrives in a signature “Aqua Blue” and black colorway.
“Working with them [G-SHOCK] on a new timepiece that takes its inspiration from the original that was launched in 1983 is very special,” said George Bamford, founder of Bamford Watch Department. “I am honoured to have the opportunity to be able to add our own inspiration and design input to this true classic”.
The G-SHOCK x Bamford London 5610 will be available to buy from September 17 via both the G-SHOCK and Bamford London webstores.
In other news, G-SHOCK recently also unveiled its latest release of GA-900 watches.
