Nike Unveils Its 90s-Inspired Challenge Court Collection
Treading the line between performance wear and leisurewear.
Arriving at the tailend of 1990, Nike’s Challenge Court collection made quite the impact on the world of tennis apparel. Worn by the likes of Andre Agassi as he reached the second grand slam final of his career, his style and character caught the eye across the globe.
Now thirty years on, Nike has reworked its Challenge Court series for 2020, remaining true to its original nineties roots with an array of graphics and bright pop colors. Alongside on-court basics like shorts and polos, the collection includes logo-driven accessories and fresh interpretations of the brand’s current footwear offering.
Through a combination of flare and contemporary material palettes, Nike has crafted a collection that treads the fine line between performance wear and leisure wear- just as it did in the nineties.
The 2020 Challenge Court Collection is available now to Nike Members, followed by a general release August 24, both drops will be available from the Nike web store.
In other news, adidas has added Swarovski crystals to two of its classic silhouettes.
