Lee Pipes' Upcoming Capsule is an Ode to '90s Skateboarding and BMX
Resurrecting old oversized silhouettes.

Lee has unveiled a special project under its Lee Pipes line, the American denim label’s apparel series which was largely popular in the late ’90s. As seen in a collaboration with NEEDLES from back in February, Lee has shown an affinity for resurrecting archival silhouettes, and the new capsule is a bold throwback to skateboard and BMX culture.
The capsule boasts a colorful series of logo T-shirts and long-sleeves as well as denim shorts, pants and overalls. One noteworthy piece is a pair of cream-colored overalls. It comes with a bevy of details that were faithfully reproduced from the original silhouette, like the knee patches and logo-engraved buttons. The piece sports brass hardware along the shoulder straps, complemented by silver-toned buttons, twin pockets at the upper chest and a set of waist pockets — a tiny “Lee Pipes” patch logo is sewn onto the left back pocket. Other pieces like the vibrant logo tees and baggy denim shorts round up the expansive assemblage.
Though no exact dates have been revealed yet, the upcoming Lee Pipes capsule is slated to land on Lee’s website in the month of May, ranging from $45 – $130 USD.
