Hermès has just unveiled a new Arceau L’Heure de la Lune collection that features dials made with martian material. The Arceau L’Heure de la Lune remains one of the more interesting moonphase watches with its 59-day, double moon display. The white gold case contains two mobile white-lacquered counters that gravitate over a meteorite dial while natural mother-of-pearl moons show the status of the moon in both Northern and Southern hemispheres.

The 12 o’clock moon sees Pegasus artwork designed by the “dreamer-designer” Dimitri Rybaltchenko. Titled Pleine Lune (Full Moon), the winged horse “hints at a passage between two worlds, where magic and reality merge.” This time around, three special versions are offered: a white gold version with a Havana lunar meteorite dial (36 pcs), a second white gold version with a black Sahara meteorite dial (36 pcs), and lastly, a platinum version with an ultra-rare Veronese green Mars meteorite dial (2 pcs).

The 43mm Arceau watch also features the Henri d’Origny-designed asymmetrical lug case, a patented “L’heure de la lune” module, a Hermès Manufacture H1837 movement, and two dials – one for hours and minutes, and one for the date. There’s still no word of release date and pricing, but stay tuned as news arrives.
