Tying in with the April 24 Apple TV+ release of the Beastie Boys Story documentary, director Spike Jonze has recruited his pals at Opening Ceremony to craft some limited edition Beastie Boy goods. The label enlisted a series of high profile artists to help design the goods, including some who worked directly with the hip-hop group.

Former Sonic Youth bassist Kim Gordon, Raymond Pettibon, Bill McMullen, Geoff McFetridge and Nejc Prah all offer special art for the collaboration, emblazoned across tees and hoodies, accompanied by a boilersuit emblazoned with Beastie branding. Though Beastie Boys Story centers around the making of Ill Communication, the artists selected their favorite Beastie records, creating designs inspired by Paul’s Boutique, Check Your Head, early EP An Exciting Evening At Home With… and Licensed to Ill.

“The [Beastie Boys are] incredible guys, casual and down-to-earth,” Opening Ceremony co-founder Humberto Leon recalled in a statement. “We proposed the idea of taking their classic albums and singles, pairing them with relevant artists, and creating new versions of the album covers. They each created new works based on albums they love.”

Shop the Beastie Boys Story goods exclusively on Farfetch’s website.

Most recently, Farfetch announced its Q1 2020 financial results.
