Though it may not be at the forefront of New Balance‘s 2020 lifestyle push, the 1300 has had a strong 2020 nonetheless — and it’s capping the year off with an airy white and gray colorway. Using NB’s signature gray hues but lightning them up a few shades for a more breezy style, these 1300s provide a clean, crisp and casual look.
Uppers are mainly constructed from a mixture of white mesh and gray suedes. The former material peers through on the toebox, the midfoot and around the collar, while the latter material makes its presence felt on the mudguard, midfoot and heel. White leather is in the mix as well, used on the heel tab and the midfoot’s N logo where it’s rimmed by gray trim. Tongues are done up in nylon and boast a special badge that reads “NB Classic 1300.” Heel clips boast embossed branding, while PU and EVA foam ENCAP midsoles mix white and gray shades. Traditional black rubber outsoles finalize the look.
The New Balance 1300 in white and gray is available now at Japanese retailers like atmos. The MSRP is set at ¥30,000 JPY (approximately $288 USD).
