Cheetos Has Revealed an Official Name for Finger Dust It Leaves
It’s not “Cheeto dust” or “Cheeto fingers.”

Despite being commonly known as “Cheeto dust” or “Cheeto fingers,” Cheetos has taken to Twitter to reveal the official name for the finger dust it leaves.
Aside from being confirmed by Dictionary.com, the Frito-Lay snack brand noted that the residue is actually called “cheetle.” The official definition of “cheetle” is “powdery residue that gets on your fingertips while eating the savory cheese snack, Cheetos.” It is also interesting to note that Frito-Lay trademarked “cheetle” more than 10 years ago and that Chester Cheetah tried to start the #cheetle hashtag back in 2015.
Take a look at the confirmation from Dictionary.com and Cheetos series of tweets about cheetle below.
Yes. Cheetle is a real thing. It’s been around for more than a decade. {licks fingers} #ad

Cheetle is dust that sticks to your fingers when eating Cheetos. More magical than pixie dust. Show me your #Cheetle. pic.twitter.com/SDqFPE6zFk
