Step Inside Tadao Ando's Conference Pavilion in This Meditative Video Walkthrough
The famed architect’s first building outside of Japan.
Tadao Ando’s Conference Pavilion in Germany’s Vitra Campus was the first establishment that the famed architect built outside of Japan. Completed in 1993, the building features an assortment of conference rooms, mediation paths reminiscent of Japanese monasteries, and a footpath leading to the pavilion.
9sekunden film studio, founded by German design firm 22quadrat, recently released a cinematic video that beautifully captures the interiors, exteriors, and all kinds of sleek angles of Ando’s concrete pavilion. Altogether, the nearly 8-minute clip takes viewers on a meditative walkthrough of the establishment surrounded by a sublime cherry orchard.
