Netflix Releases Trailer for Nickelodeon's 'Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus'
Zim may have finally learned the truth about his “mission” on Earth.
The official trailer for Netflix’s Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus has surfaced, showcasing the Nickelodeon cult classic series, the titular Zim and his upcoming struggle against his adversary Dib.
Netflix’s synopsis film explains that “Zim discovers his almighty leaders never had any intention of coming to Earth and he loses confidence in himself for the first time in his life, which is the big break his human nemesis, Dib has been waiting for.” If the trailer is anything to go by, expect the same wacky humor fans remember from the original series, with plenty of over-dramatic monologues and wild alien technology.
Many returning voices from the original series are set to return, including Richard Horvitz as Zim, Rosearik Rikki Simons as GIR, Andy Berman as Dib, and Melissa Fahn as Gaz. Alongside Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling, which debuted this month, the special was originally announced at San Diego Comic-Con a couple of years back, with Netflix acquiring the distribution rights for them in May.
Catch Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus August 16 on Netflix.
In other news, Jordan Peele’s “spiritual sequel” to Candyman is in production, with Tony Todd reprising his role.
