James Earl Jones, Wesley Snipes & Rick Ross Join 'Coming to America 2' Cast
Premiering December 2020.
James Earl Jones, Rick Ross and Wesley Snipes are appearing in Eddie Murphy’s Coming to America 2 sequel.
According to reports, Jones will be reprising his role as King Jaffe Joffer alongside Paul Bates as Prince Akeem’s (Murphy) manservant and bodyguard, Oha. While Snipes is set to portray General Izzy, the leader of a country bordering Prince Akeem’s fictional Zamunda, Ross’ role in the film remains unclear. In a recent interview, the rapper revealed that Coming to America was his favorite film and that the sequel is being filmed at his house in Atlanta, however, there was no mention of his on-screen involvement.
Coming to America 2 is set to hit theaters December 18, 2020.
In other news, Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have signed an overall deal with Netflix.
