Sir Patrick Stewart Is Back as Starfleet Captain in 'Star Trek: Picard'
“Make it so.”
Star Trek fans can rejoice as a new series has just been teased at this year’s San Diego Comic Con. Sir Patrick Stewart will also reprise his role as Captain Jean-Luc Picard in the upcoming Star Trek: Picard. In keeping with continuity, the trailer picks up where Star Trek: The Next Generation left off with season 7’s “All Good Things,” showing Captain Jean-Luc Picard toiling away at his vineyard.
The trailer goes on to show that perhaps the captain was not quite ready to throw in the towel, and was just waiting for the right excuse for another adventure — the dead giveaway is that he still has Data stored conveniently in a drawer. All hell breaks loose when a mysterious injured woman finds Jean-Luc Picard. It is then up to Jean-Luc Picard to assemble a new team for his next adventure; the teaser abruptly ends with Data now fully rebuilt, followed by the captain’s signature command, “engage!”
Trekkies can expect this new series to air on CBS All Access Originals early 2020. In other news, Avengers: Endgame officially beats Avatar as highest-grossing film of all time.
Fingers crossed the new #StarTrek Picard show is basically Sideways in space.

"So Commander William Riker is going to be in #StarTrekPicard right?"

I like that #Picard #StarTrekPicard is shown retired to the wine fields from ‘All Good Things’ (#TNG Finale). Keeps the story consistent, except for the missing beard. pic.twitter.com/ySubqPkxnG

Star Trek Picard could be a series with Picard watching Paint Dry and we’d still all be there. Engage! #StarTrekPicard pic.twitter.com/RQb9SZZTPj
