One of the standouts from February’s Father Of 4, Offset‘s “Clout” has finally received an appropriately over-the-top music video. With his wife Cardi B on board, the clip is saturated with shades of yellow and dazzling mirrors.
With lyrics that pointedly take on would-be social media celebrities and influencers, one may assume that a suitable accompaniment for piano-led “Clout” would be a moody, noir-themed video. Instead, the video is packed with in-your-face yellow tones, from the background to Cardi’s costumes to the hall of mirrors behind Offset.
Aside from the palette, the “Clout” video centers around the sheer physical magnetism between its two stars, with Cardi and Offset both spending much of the clip intertwined. In the past, all of Migos joined Cardi for “Drip” and “Motorsport,” with Offset and Cardi alone on 2017’s “Lick.” Intercut with shots of a chainsaw-toting Offset and umbrella-packing back-up dancers (all in yellow, of course), the couple is constantly seen in loving embrace throughout “Clout” — when Cardi isn’t hidden inside a massive yellow ball pit, that is.

Recently, Cardi was honored with a plethora of Billboard Music Award 2019 nominations.
