Converse has enlisted Koché, Feng Chen Wang and Faith Connexion for three unique collaborations reworking classic footwear silhouettes, all-new shoes and an extensive apparel collection, each referencing the brand’s sport and utility heritage.
Christelle Kocher of Koché has taken on the Mary Rina and Jack Purcell silhouettes, with Feng Chen Wang reworking the Chuck ‘70 Hi and the ERX. Faith Connexion lends its hand to the Run Star, One Star Mid and One Star Ox, and each name has delivered along with Converse a selection of clothing and accessories for this womenswear release.
Standout collaborative pairs include the Faith Connexion One Star Mid, which sees a distressed cream canvas upper with a ripped star emblem, as well as the “Girl Power”-themed Feng Chen Wang Chuck ‘70. Wang’s capsule is the London-based designer’s first ever womenswear collection, and has given the Chuck ’70s a tonal nude palette on one pair, and an icy-silver rework on the other.
As well as footwear, the collection also comes with a range of apparel. Koché’s geometric patterned two-piece track jacket and pant offering stand out amongst the clothing, as does its tennis-inspired polo dress and complementing polo shirt. Faith Connexion’s camouflaged utility tote bag and Feng Chen Wang’s “Girl Power” mesh basketball jersey T-shirt hybrid are two notable mentions within the collection.
The collection is set to release on April 26 at Converse.com and at select retailers with prices ranging from £30 GBP to £225 GBP (approx. $38 – $290 USD). In honor of its mega-collaboration, Converse has also teamed up with Browns for a London pop-up shop, which you can visit at 54 – 57 Great Marlborough Street, Soho, from April 26-27.
In case you missed it, Converse recently teamed up with KITH for more collaborative Chuck Taylor All Star’s.
