New York’s Alife hasn’t tweaked an adidas Consortium sneaker since 2017, but that changes with this revamped pair of Nizza Hi. First released in 1975, the vulcanized high-top sneaker has been granted a minimalist makeover, accented with the bold addition of special TPU wristbands inspired by club culture.

With understated off-white canvas uppers and white rubber soles, the understated silhouette serves as an ideal backdrop for a bold Alife patch on the lateral side of each shoe, complementing the co-branded tags atop the tongues. Branded laces and minute “©2019” prints at the toe add further visual interest, but the main appeal comes by way of two distinctive wristbands, each emblazoned with Alife’s logo and “A Way of Life™” slogan. Offered in monochrome or standout red-and-blue tones, the bands loop through a rear pull tab for extra security, and can be worn on the wrists instead of the sneaker if so desired.

Check out the campaign imagery below and expect the collaborative adidas Consortium Nizza Hi to hit Alife’s web store and New York outpost on May 2. Global retailers will receive the silhouette on May 11.
