Burial Teases New Track From Analogue's Sega Genesis Remake
Available exclusively on a Sega Genesis music cartridge.
Following the release of its recent Adult Swim compilation album, HyperSwim, London-based underground dance music label Hyperdub is continuing to celebrate its 15th anniversary with another 11-song compilation titled Konsolation. The project, exclusive to a Sega Mega music cartridge, has been made in collaboration with Analogue, who has designed a limited-edition Sega Mega Drive console alongside the label limited to 1,000 units globally. To celebrate the accompanying compilation — which features material from Burial, Kode9, Ikonika, DJ Taye, and more — the label has shared a preview of Burial’s new track “Starlore.”
Analogue most recently commissioned Arca to produce the start-up music for the new console system. The company also recently announced a reimagined Nintendo Game Boy called the Pocket, which will be available sometime next year.
You can listen to a snippet of Burial’s “Starelore” above and see the full Konsolation tracklist below. If you’d like to find out more about the collaborative console or purchase one for yourself, you can do so here.
For more music news, Flying Lotus and Denzel Curry recently shared the video for “Black Balloons Reprise.”
