Shortly after presenting the Fall/Winter 2019 CdG HOMME Plus collection, Rei Kawakubo wasted no time and went on to display her upcoming FW19 offerings from COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT at Paris Fashion Week.

Once again reinventing the classics, tailoring and suiting was explored through patchworking and comic strips. The comic prints are comprised of speech balloons that express text like “Boom!!,” “Wham!,” “Yes!” and “No!” Elsewhere, Rei referenced Seditionaries Clothing with an array of striped shirts decorated by contrasting striped and plaid print straps. Some standout pieces include the shirting coach jacket, patchwork caricature suits and knee-slit wool trousers.
