A Closer Look at 99%IS FW18's Punk Stylings
Bondage pants and DIY screenprint.

Debuted earlier this year in Seoul, 99%IS‘s Fall/Winter 2018 collection is just now hitting retailers. Dubbed “CHAlleNGE,” the new ranged pushes the Korean brand’s punk inclinations further than ever before, with plenty of bondage trousers and anarchic graphics to go around. Beyond the unmissable graphic accents, the fleece hoodies, nylon jackets and zippered sweatshirts utilize comparably subtle detailing to drive the theme home; oversized fits recall hand-me-down garments made new through DIY detailing, while internal buckles allow the wearer to easily sling the layering pieces over the shoulder. Other touches are less subtle: a long-sleeve shirt sports colorful prints applied by hand, while a black “Bat” jacket utilizes clever construction to transform the hood into a face-obscuring shroud.
