Vic Mensa Premieres New Track "All That Shines"

Vic Mensa has been dropping tracks via his weekly Friday series, including his take on Future’s ”Codeine Crazy,” along with “I Been“ and “Heat It Up (Freestyle).” Now, Mensa premieres his latest track “All That Shines” which he produced along with Peter Cottontale, Stefan Ponce, Om’mas Keith and J. Hill. The track starts with soft synths and leads into Mensa rapping about his sudden rise to fame. His sharp bars are juxtaposed against the melodic chorus where he sings: “They say everything that glistens isn’t gold.” This statement shows the fragility of fame, as Mensa notes that when things come quickly, they can also disappear just as fast.
