Real Madrid "Sign" Fictional 'FIFA 19' Player Alex Hunter
The club’s fans aren’t happy about Ronaldo’s virtual replacement.
The build up to the 2018/19 season has been tumultuous for Real Madrid as the club lost both its manager, Zinedine Zidane, and star player, Cristiano Ronaldo. With new transfers very necessary, and a move for Eden Hazard still rumored, Real Madrid has announced the signing of Alex Hunter, the star of FIFA 19‘s story mode.
The “signing” has been made to look as real as possible, with actual players welcoming Hunter to the club and his kit being available from the Real Madrid web store. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Real Madrid fans haven’t reacted well to the news of the signing, adding that the club has “no shame” and pointing to Barcelona’s impressive signings over the course of the summer.
In other FIFA 19 news, the game is set to feature a “survival mode” and the option to play with no referee.
