Gucci Mane Talks Fitness, Life After Prison & More
While releasing a brand new video For “Gucci Please.”

Fresh out of jail in July and Guwop has been making major moves over the summer since. The blogosphere has been obsessing over Gucci Mane’s weight loss, outlandish conspiracy theories about Gucci clones and how he’s churning out tracks at such an alarming rate. The Atlanta-born rapper recently sat down with Vogue to discuss his brand new diet, fashion, life after prison and more. He also premiered the latest video for “Gucci Please” — a song featured on his recent album Everybody Looking — on the fashion and lifestyle magazine’s website.
“The Gucci Mane & Friends concert was a very triumphant time for me,” Gucci told Vogue. “Being confined in the house all of the time, it was finally good to get back on the stage and see all of the artists I have been recording with for years.” The rapper went on to discuss ditching the purple drank for fresh greens and also delved into his flourishing fitness regimen as a way to purchase desired clothes. “Before I was incarcerated, I had gotten so overweight that I couldn’t fit into any of the clothes I wanted to wear. So with the time I was away, I decided I was going to lose weight so I could be able to wear all the brands that I really like … I’ve always liked Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Hugo Boss, and just anything dope that catches my eye.”
