Vetements Drops Another Doodled T-Shirt for FW18
Scribbled elephants and smiley faces.
Following the first T-shirt drop from Vetements‘s Fall/Winter 2018 collection, the brand is launching more playful graphic tees. To create each shirt’s doodled imagery, designer Demna Gvasalia recruited children from Zurich to draw their own interpretation of the phrase “Elephant in the Room,” echoing Margiela‘s Spring/Summer 1990 presentation in the process. This particular shirt sports scrawled branding printed on the center of the chest, complementing the tonal “VETEMENTS” embroidery at the rear of the neck. Colorful scribbles appear everywhere on the tee, encompassing everything from a red sun to a balloon-toting elephant and a wide swath of blue on the back.
The new design is available on SSENSE’s website for $490 USD. Elsewhere, the brand’s pink Marilyn Manson shirt is currently available for pre-order.
