Vans Swaps Laces for Zippers on the Old Skool
Another alternative to the slip-ons.
Adding a zipper to a shoe is nothing new for Vans, but in the most recent iteration of the classic Old Skool, a zipper is seen replacing the laces all together. It’s a design made to satisfy the lazy wearer, meeting them somewhere halfway between a slip-on and the original. An added detail is seen on the reinforcement of the zipper, where OFF THE WALL has been printed.
These zip-up Old Skools are available at Japanese retailers now, for ¥8,000 JPY (approximately $73 USD). In other footwear news, Virgil Abloh denied rumours of a Vans collaboration.
