Apple to Acquire TIDAL?

It looks like TIDAL could soon change its owner. As The Wall Street Journal reports, Apple is currently in “exploratory talks” to acquire Jay Z’s streaming company. According to sources, “terms of the potential deal aren’t yet known” but Apple is looking to buy TIDAL to gain access to the exclusive artists the company has signed on for their releases. This would mean that future releases from artists like such as Kanye West, Beyoncé, Madonna, could be processed through Apple. TIDAL was launched in March 2015 and was acquired from Swedish company Aspiro.
