Steel Train - Turnpike Ghost (RAC Mix featuring Tegan & Sara)

Andre Allen Anjos from the Remix Artist Collective (RAC) sent over this impressive cover of Steel Train that he created with Canadian sisterly duo Tegan & Sara. Since the New York quintet accompanied them on tour, the sisters decided to return the favor and reinterpreted their track “Turnpike Ghost”. RAC uses heavy keyboard and bass elements to back up the duo’s vocals. Here is a more detailed scoop on the project.

Stereogum just premiered our collaboration with Tegan & Sara and Steel Train. It was quite an interesting project because it’s essentially a remix using a never before heard vocal track by T&S. This will be released on Terrible Thrills Vol.1 – an all female cover album featuring Scarlett Johansson

, Deradoorian
, Alia Shawkat, and
