Snoop Dogg Says "F*ck" the New 'Roots' Revamp
He isn’t down with expensive rapper merch or remakes of classics.
Never one to hold his tongue, Snoop Dogg has used his spotlight to blast incredibly expensive t-shirts featuring his likeness and promote anticipated new projects. Now, Snoop Dogg has yet another blunt opinion to express. Taking to Instagram, Snoop Dogg took part in a video where shared the following opinion regarding the modern rejuvenation of the Roots series:
“No disrespect, but I can’t watch no motherfucking more black movies where niggas get dogged down… I don’t understand America, they just wanna keep showing the abuse that we took hundreds and hundreds of years ago, but guess what? We’re taking the same abuse. Think about that part. When are y’all gonna make a motherfucking series about the success that black folks (are) having?”
He also called for individuals to, “create our own shit based on today, how we live and how we inspire people today.” You can check out the full clip below.
