Mr. Scruff Vs. Kristy Almeida - Pickled Spider

Ninja Tune artist Mr. Scruff unleashes the video for his new single “Pickled Spider”. For this bass-heavy tune the respected producer joins forces with fellow Mancunian artist Kirsty Almeida. Here are some details on the production process of the record.

Mr. Scruff Vs. Kirsty Almeida were in a recording studio. It was very dusty and covered with cobwebs. As they tidied up, a small spider appeared. It ran up and down the keyboard, trying to escape. Mr. Scruff pressed the record button and Kirsty began to sing. A big spider appeared and played the bassline. When the tune was finished, Mr. Scruff and Kirsty put the spider in a pickle jar and in honour of their studio guest, called the tune “Pickled Spider”.

“Pickled Spider” will be released on a one-sided 12” via Ninja Tune, late may/early June 2010.
