JMSN Unveils 'Natural Born Killers'-Inspired Video for "Slide"
“Woody Harrelson is one of my favorite actors and this movie is amazing in so many aspects.”
Fresh off the late April release of his latest studio album Whatever Makes U Happy, JMSN unveils a video for LP cut “Slide.” Following up the “creepy” black and white visual for fellow Whatever Makes U Happy record “Where Do U Go,” the clip for “Slide” serves as the second video released in support of JMSN’s new full-length. For his new visual’s narrative, JMSN looked to the 1994 Oliver Stone cult classic Natural Born Killers for inspiration. ”Woody Harrelson is one of my favorite actors and this movie is amazing in so many aspects. So, I wanted to channel that for this video – not make the same exact thing but a version of it,” JMSN explains.
“I like to leave things open for interpretation on a lot of my videos,” JMSN shares. “This video is no different in that sense. The more intense drama, the better. I take myself so seriously it may be considered to some as funny, but I’m deadass. But of course, there’s a comedic touch to everything I do. Humans taking themselves seriously is funny to me. I like ‘bootleg,’ very personal stuff with character and real emotions. That way there’s a space for humor. Maybe something you didn’t think is funny becomes funny.”
