Caviar’s $4,000 USD Solar-Powered "iPhone X Tesla" Is Covered in Carbon & Gold
Elon Musk will be the first to receive the lavish iPhone X.
Russian accessories purveyor Caviar – known for creating lavish phone/tablet cases — recently unveiled its newest creation, aimed at Elon Musk specifically. The iPhone X Tesla can best be described as an actual iPhone X that has been encased in carbon and gold with a built-in solar-powered battery pack — a reference to Musk’s ongoing sustainable energy advancements.
Available in either 64 GB and 256 GB options, the gizmo — inspired by Nikola Tesla, Steve Jobs and Elon Musk — derives its power from the sun or bright lamps, which penetrates its shock-resistant solar panel. Adding artistic merit is the phrase, “Made on Earth by humans,” the same tagline found on the Roadster sent aboard the Falcon Heavy rocket.
Originally intending to craft only 99 models, demand for the luxe device far exceeded expectations, with the company increasing production to 999 units instead. Priced at $4,064 USD and $4,847 USD, respectively, the iPhone X Tesla is up for grabs now online. Although, don’t expect to claim first dibs, as Caviar plans to send its very first model to Musk himself.
