Kendrick Lamar's 'Section.80' Has Finally Gone Gold
More plaques for the TDE king.

While Kendrick Lamar‘s latest studio album DAMN. might not dethrone Drake when it comes to grand debuts on the charts, one of the Compton lyricist’s past projects has finally received gold certification from the RIAA. As XXL notes, the fan favorite Section.80 has achieved gold status six years after its release. While it has taken several years for the now-classic project to receive some recognition on the sales front, he already has two platinum albums. Kendrick Lamar also earned his first platinum plaque for a single a couple months ago, so 2017 has been pretty kind to the TDE rapper. If DAMN. officially goes gold within the next few weeks, Kendrick will have two new gold plaques by the beginning of summer.
