KAPITAL Releases a Range of Indigo-Dyed Graphic T-Shirts
Made using traditional Japanese dyeing processes.
Cult Japanese denim specialist KAPITAL has released a new capsule of indigo-dyed graphic T-shirts. These shirts, however, aren’t your usual graphic tees. Instead of using the standard screen printing technique, KAPITAL employs a traditional Japanese shibori and resist dye process, which gives each shirt a unique design or tie-dye finish.
As with most KAPITAL designs, this T-shirt capsule draws heavily on heritage Americana codes. The theme is especially apparent in the Navajo-inspired “Harvey Collection” tee. The shirt’s graphic is based on the relic collection of 19th-century entrepreneur and folk art collector Fred Harvey, who was a pioneer in the marketing of the “Wild West.”
