This weekend, the Juno Awards of 2016 were held. With ceremonies held at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, the show honors Canadian music achievements throughout the past year. Televised via CTV, it featured performances by by Bryan Adams, Alessia Cara, Lights, Shawn Mendes, The Weeknd and more. Nominees of the night include The Weeknd, Drake, Justin Bieber, Tobias Jesso Jr., Alessia Cara, Bob Ezrin, Noah “40” Shebib, Pomo, Hozier, Keyz N Krates, A-Trak, Autoerotique, Sleepy Tom, BADBADNOTGOOD and more. The Weeknd was the most notable winner, taking home Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Album of the Year, Single of the Year and R&B Recording of the Year.
