Transitioning into the warmer months, Tokyo-based archive fashion purveyor EMPTY R _ _ M recently released its latest Spring/Summer 2018 editorial.
Titled “VOL.1 -2018SS-,” the EMPTY R _ _ M looked to focus on the Americana and rock and roll tinged pieces from cult label NUMBER (N)INE. Originally helmed by famed designer Takahiro Miyashita, the label has served as a marker of Japanese fashion that has inspired many designers with its alternative aesthetics and usage of musical influences.
EMPTY R _ _ M’s latest editorial shot in Tokyo spotlights some of the rare pieces from NUMBER (N)INE currently in stock with styled looks that express the story behind the label. Some standout pieces seen in the photo series include the workwear-inspired Mechanic Shirt, intricately embroidered Back Skull No Sleeve Shirt and haphazard patchwork Velour Patched Kurt Jeans.
