Watch The Trailer For David Byrne’s 'Contemporary Color' Documentary

In the summer of 2015, David Byrne of Talking Heads fame held an event at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center to display “the sport of the arts.” Better known as Color Guard, the elaborate productions employ synchronized dance routines involving flags, rifles, and sabers to express music in a truly dynamic way. Byrne’s stadium show involved 10 Color Guard teams from across the US and Canada along with performances from Dev Hynes, Nelly Furtado, How to Dress Well, tUnE-yArDs, and many more. The event and the process of bringing the event to fruition were recorded and made into a documentary titled Contemporary Color.
