Balenciaga's Platform Crocs Sold out During Pre-Order
Surprised?

In October of last year, Balenciaga debuted its platform Crocs on a runway in Paris, sending out waves of mixed reactions. The 10cm-tall version of the classic Crocs maintain the original brand’s design with its perforated upper, however with the added decoration of “Jibbitz” pins resembling fridge magnets. Offering some insight into the collaboration, Balenciaga’s Creative Director, Demna Gvasalia had this to say about the Crocs: “It’s light, and in the future you will be able to 3D print them at home because they are all one piece – we are using a one-piece foam mould, and working with these kinds of materials is very Balenciaga!”
Having only gone up days ago for pre-order at Barneys New York for $850 USD, the platform Crocs in tan and pink have already sold out.
