R.E.M. - Discoverer
R.E.M. – Discoverer

Renowned rock band R.E.M. return to the musical stage with their fifteenth studio album, twelve-song Jacknife Lee-produced Collapse Into Now – due March 8, 2011. The group’s bassist Mike Mills revealed that the project will have a far more sentimental, personal approach than their last LP Accelarate
With Accelerate we were trying to make a point by making the songs as short and as fast as possible … So we wanted this new one to be more expansive. We wanted to put more variety into it and not limit ourselves to any one type of song. There are some really slow, beautiful songs; there are some nice, mid-tempo ones; and then there are three or four rockers.
You can now listen to the album’s opening track “Discoverer” which isn’t a quite hook-heavy single but will definitely increase the anticipation for the LP as a whole. You can download it at the band’s website in exchange of your email-address.
