Netflix's New Docu-Series '7 Days Out' Will Investigate the World of 'League of Legends'
Taking a look at the biggest Esports game in the world.
Looking to expand its documentary lineup, Netflix recently teamed up with Sony Pictures Television to create 7 Days Out. The docu-series is a behind-the-scenes look at the lead up to some of the most iconic cultural events in fashion, sports, food, gaming and space — happening now.
One of the bigger draws of the first season will investigate the biggest Esports game in the world, League of Legends. The episode will shed light on the meteoric rise of LoL developer Riot Games and follow four professional teams leading into the 2018 North American Spring Finals this past year. Most recently, League of Legends recorded 99.6 million viewers for its World Championship Finals, which brought together 144 players from 30 countries, and was broadcasted in 19 languages globally.
Other episodes included in Season 1 will look at what it takes to put on Chanel‘s Haute Couture fashion presentations, the Kentucky Derby, the Westminster Dog Show, NASA‘s Cassini Mission and the opening of globally acclaimed restaurant Eleven Madison Park.
Check out the trailer for 7 Days Out above, and look for the docu-series on Netflix December 21 shortly after a debut event at the Riot Games Los Angeles Arena.
