Aphex Twin Adds Three New Tracks to 20-Year Old Album 'Drukqs'
Which includes two reworks of “Avril 14th.”
Three new tracks have been added to the Aphex Twin‘s 2001 release, Drukqs almost 20 years after it debuted. Two reworks of Richard D. James’ “Avril 14th” were added alongside a new song called “Mangle 11.”
The sound of production in the remixes are noticeably slicker, as are the songs’ digital drums and pitch time signatures. It even references the 2003 track “Mangle 11 [Circuit Bent V.I.P. Mix],” which James debuted as AFX on a compilation project called Rephlexions! An Album Of Braindance! All three songs have been digitally added to the almost two-decade-old tracklist, and are available for purchase on Aphex Twin’s webstore.
