Drake Cosigns Kodak Black, Earl Sweatshirt Responds
“Drake can be a bit of a vulture on young rap n*ggas and I don’t want lil Kodak to be a victim of it.”

A few days ago, Drake posted a video of himself listening to rising artist Kodak Black’s track “SKRT.” Drizzy has already played the track during episode six of OVO Sound Radio before the premiere of his joint album with Future, What A Time To Be Alive. Most Drake cosigns are generally received positively as the promotion is usually mutually beneficial for both artists. However with this one incident, Earl Sweatshirt did not feel too good about it and decided to share some thoughts via Twitter. He claims that “Drake can be a bit of a vulture on young rap n*ggas” and that he doesn’t “want lil Kodak to be a victim of it.” Read the tweets below and let us know your thoughts on the situation.

@TeesanKomo I feel u but I still feel like drake overall statement isn’t “check out this new shit I heard” it’s always self serving

@TeesanKomo I guess u rite. it’s not his job to develop them as artists. but the line between paying homage and wave riding is a blurry one

aye but just like the line between paying homage and wave riding is a blurry so is the one between giving criticism and hating
