For his Fall/Winter 2018 collection, Beijing-born, London-based designer Yang Li draws inspiration from Asian casino lords and the 1996 film Young and Dangerous.
Featuring a stark color palette of black, emerald and grey, the collection’s seldom but abrupt touches of vivid canary yellows, scarlet reds and crisp whites heighten the designer’s homage to smoke-filled, neon-hued gambling centers and the gaudy regulars that frequent them. Key pieces include a black leather trench coat with shoulder slits, red side-striped tartan trousers, floral-pattered oversized smoking jacket and black and white tuxedo getup.
