Tetris Expert Breaks World Record by Accident
He was actually trying to beat another game challenge.
Jonas Neubauer is a dynamo in the puzzle game community with several Championships under his belt from the Classic Tetris World Championship (CTWC). He recently has taken another title, accidentally, as the world record holder for the fastest to reach 300,000 points.
Neubauer, streaming live via Twitch, had intentionally set out to clear 100 lines in the quickest to clutch the title. Having cleared 79, the challenge overtook him causing him to concede defeat. Upon finishing the set, the chat was buzzing as he coincidentally achieved a 300, 000 score in 1.57.65 seconds causing his latent elation.
