John Mayer Drops the First Wave to His Album 'The Search for Everything'
The artist will be releasing four songs a month.

John Mayer is back with his first release since 2013’s Paradise Valley. However, the artist isn’t releasing everything at once, instead, opting to drop four songs a month. In “wave one” of the release, Mayer dropped four tracks from his new project titled The Search for Everything. It includes the previously-released song “Love on the Weekend.”
Mayer explained in a Facebook post the reason behind the staggered drops, saying “there were too many songs to ever get out the door at once.” Mayer also went on to confirm on Twitter that he worked on these songs with many of the same people that worked on 2006’s Continuum. Listen to the four tracks below and let us know what you think.
My heart’s racing. These songs represent literally hundreds of hours of living inside of these little worlds. And more to come.
