Listen to Jamiroquai's New Daft-Punk Inspired Single, "Automaton"
Don’t call it a comeback.
British funk legends Jamiroquai are planning a come back this year with their eighth studio album, Automaton, set to drop on March 31. This will be the group’s first project in over seven years following 2010’s Rock Dust Light Star. In a press release, lead singer Jay Kay says of the project, “The inspiration for Automaton is in recognition of the rise of artificial intelligence and technology in our world today and how we as humans are beginning to forget the more pleasant, simple and eloquent things in life and in our environment including our relationship with one another as human beings.” The first single from the album (which is very Daft Punk-esque) can be streamed above.
