Hitting the runway in comfort.

Runway interpretations of athletic gear range from the luxurious to the exaggerated (see Thom Browne Fall/Winter 2012), and Angus Chiang falls safely into the latter camp, sending dramatic reinterpretations of sporting gear down the runway for Fall/Winter 2018.

The collection sees a variety of sports references; motorcycle helmets accent metallic pants and license plate sweaters, alongside moto pants, cropped leather jackets and metallic chaps. Elsewhere, padded shoulders and bodysuits recall football gear and leather tearaway pants and bold yellow sweaters further inform the general sporty theme. Elsewhere, raw-hemmed denim, a see-through polyester jacket, and printed suiting — including one look with built-in bags — keep the collection playful and safely distanced from the gridiron.
