Advisory Board Crystals Walks Us Through Its "Failed Fantasies" Capsule

Early this month Advisory Board Crystals launched its latest “Failed Fantasies” capsule with a pop-up in partnership with HBX. The limited collection continued the fledgling imprints unique take on streetwear with a colorful range of tie-dye patterned and graphic emblazoned hoodies, T-shirts, bags and socks.
We caught up with founders Remington Guest and Heather Haber at the HBX “Failed Fantasies” pop-up in Hong Kong to chat about crystals and clothing. Guest and Haber noted that a “divine timing” has always been part of their relationship and the founding of ABC in 2016. Crystals were an obvious choice of inspiration for the transcendental imprint as an early experience with the structures cemented a scientific art object obsession within the two.
Looking at ABC’s latest “Failed Fantasies” capsule, Guest and Haber noted that aside from the failed fantasies theme they really focussed on the idea of travel. Utilizing intensive research they chose to highlight functionality and connections between moments and places around the world through garments.
