Late last year, FDMTL presented an initial look at its 2017 spring/summer collection, which effectively portrayed designer Gaku Tsuyoshi’s affinity for boro patchwork and indigo-dyeing techniques. In turning the page towards the impending 2017 fall/winter season, the Tokyo-bred imprint has recently unveiled select pieces from the upcoming seasonal range. Once again giving way to statement denim wears, the lineup exhibits the brand’s tailoring mastery and textile shaping skills — offering a range subtly reminiscent of early era workwear Americana. Fitted in varying shades of blue, fabric-blocked denim jackets and button-down tops team with patched jeans and similarly-themed kicks — suggestive of its earlier work with Vans.
