California-based streetwear imprint Brandblack recently teamed up with menswear designer WILLY CHAVARRIA on a robust Fall/Winter 2017 collection that channeled the urban tech ninja. Complementing the variety of unorthodox garments were new footwear models, among which was the Tabi sandal — an integrated sock-in-sandal model that boasts a one-piece tubular knit upper, nylon-canvas straps, neoprene harnesses and a Vibram rubber sole unit. Debuting in black and olive colorways (with more neutral toned options to come in the near future), the Tabi’s modern construction offers water-resistant wear and breathable fit, while also combining technical elements with fashion sensibilities for an avant-garde spin on relevant trends. A special edition WILLY CHAVARRIA Tabi sandal will release later this month.

The olive and black Tabi sandals are currently available at KITH for a retail price of $140 USD.

Let us know your thoughts on this footwear trend below. For more sandal options to add to your rotation, SUICOKE teamed up with Blackmeans on a BOAK sandal, as well as John Elliott on three new MOTO sandal colorways.
