Jaden Smith Shares 'SYRE' Rock Single, "Watch Me"

Back in April, Jaden Smith announced that he would be starting a rock band with his sister Willow (and dropping his debut “K-pop” single). Although there is no new word regarding the project, Jaden has unleashed a brand new single from his forthcoming solo project, SYRE. Titled “Watch Me,” the track sounds like an updated version of Kanye West’s groundbreaking Yeezus single “Black Skinhead.” Just like the Daft Punk-produced track, “Watch Me” has clear rock influences, combining overdriven/distorted vocals and instrumentation with banging 808 drums. The track finds Jaden delivering nonchalant rhymes over an unconventional 6/8 time signature. Stream the song via Apple Music and Spotify below.
