Genius recently linked 21 Savage up with Rob Markman at Sword and the Stone to show the artist how to forge a knife. Hot off the release of his debut album, Issa Album, the Atlanta rapper offers some insight into his past and the importance of knives. Investigating what the knife tattoo actually means, 21 Savage reveals him and his crew got the idea for the tattoo watching Scarface — but over the years the marking has evolved to mean so much more. Additionally, 21 speaks about his relationship with producer Sonny Digital, his experiences on the street and what he thinks about trap music. Check out the interview above and let us know what you think.

Also, learn how Lonzo Ball thinks 21 Savage’s Issa Album is better than JAY-Z’s 4:44.
