Watch This Fan-Made Trailer of 'Voldemort: Origins of the Heir'

Harry Potter has one of the strongest fanbases around, and they are champing at the bit for more stories exploring the universe’s expansive lore. Two ambitious filmmakers, Gianmaria Pezzato and Stefano Prestia, have released a fanmade trailer called Voldemort: Origins of the Heir; a would-be feature that focuses on the acclaimed wizard Tom Riddle’s eventual turn into He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.

The trailer clocks in at under a minute and features adequate cinematography and special effects comparable to the Harry Potter flicks. The pair of directors created a production company and ran a Kickstarter to fund a full film, until it was taken down presumably because of Warner Bros., distributors of the film franchise. The two met with Warner Bros. and were given their blessing to continue with their full-length film, just as long as the project is non-profit.
