Savile Row's 'The Golden Shears Award' Finalist Launches RAUS
Exceptional craftsmanship that cuts no corners.
Since graduating from fashion school, Danielle Faith Ross has worked with many leading brands across London’s fashion landscape. She has provided numerous brands with her impressive hand-crafted tailoring, which was recognized by London Savile Row’s tailoring competition; the Golden Shears Award in 2013. After debuting her bespoke menswear collection at London Fashion Week last year, Ross has launched her new brand RAUS, a line that prides itself on “cutting no corners” with exceptional craftsmanship, design and detailing. Ross creates each piece by hand, even creating some of the materials herself.
Conceptually, RAUS is motivated by the “main metaphor of epiphany,” a breaking free from imprisonment and enslavement, and a “celebration of allowing one’s scales to fall off of one’s eyes.” Stylistically, the collection sees a combination of boxweave patterns, tartans, rich suedes and wool pinstripes, putting a modern spin on traditional textiles and patterns.
